In 2008, as a part of its efforts to mainstream the India@75 vision, CII took the eponymous blueprint to several influential stakeholders, especially the people’s representative.

One of the first person to grant an audience was Shri Narendra Modi, who was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He was extremely appreciative of what
the vision sought to achieve and was keen to evolve the ambitious
vision for an inclusively developed India.

The vision was validated through a public reasoning process and CII conducted a nationwide participatory survey involving 123 workshops and 984 interviews and 5500 people across 21 States. Vision was aptly titled – “India@75 – The People’s Agenda”. Its vision elements comprised Business & Economy, Agriculture, Health, Education, Skills & Entrepreneurship, Sports, Arts & Culture, Governance & Moral Leadership etc.

In many ways, India@75 lists the synergies between the government
and Industry. India@75 vision and PM’s clarion call for Azadi Ka
Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) has natural convergence. CII is working
closely with the Ministry of Culture on celebrating AKAM and in the
process, catalyzing a new vision for India beyond 2022.

To celebrate India@75 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, we are organising a series of ‘Fireside Chat’ called, I have a Dream. The objective is to invite selected people synonymous with excellence in their field for a meaningful conversation on their personal journeys and their
wish list for the India of the future.

Expected outcomes:
• Meaningful discsussions on India@75 vision elements with cross
lineages to
• CII’s work and resonance with National Priorities.
• Engage and reconnect with Target Audience
• Brand awareness of India@75 Foundation
• Continuation of celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav through
this event series
